Went back to my roots. Building a song from the bass and piano up. This song is pretty sax heavy since that’s my main instrument.

I had some free time today so I felt like finishing one of the pieces I’ve been toying with lately. This one is kinda bachatiao, and I did the guitar and sax style as a little homage to Anthony Santos. I just finished it, so I’m probably going to listen to it tomorrow then make a million changes, but this is the first iteration of my latest work. Enjoy!

This song is very me. If I’ve written one song that somewhat reflects my feelings, it’d be this one. I say that because every time I hear it, I get lost in my own thoughts and reflections.

Fresh out the oven… Finished writing it today. Just a real heavy beat. Enjoy!

*Note: I made what I believe to be my final edit today, since there were some details I was just not feeling in the previous posting of the song. I like this version much better, though I didn’t make too many changes.

I liked this one because I had the vision of slowly letting it evolve, starting with a simple sax melody and ending with more intricate parts.
